Elise Malary Death Reason
Elise Malary, 31, a transgender black woman was found dead in Lake Michigan on Wednesday. Her body was discovered by a fisherman at around 8:15 a.m., about a mile from the shoreline of the lake, police said. Malary had apparently been swimming when she was found and appeared to have died from exposure. Officials have yet to release a cause of death, but they said they do not suspect foul play. Malary is the second transgender person of color to be killed this year in the US, following the death of Chyna Gibson in December.
