Marie is a champion not fought in the field and ring but also in her life. Marie was born in Chicago, Illinois on the 12th of August 1986. She was born to drug and alcoholic parents which bought a lot of problems in her life. She had a disrupted childhood as well. After the separation of her parents, Marie was with her mother and the other siblings were with her mother. After her father received from the addiction, he sent his daughter to a martial art class and she initiated her practice when she was eleven. Marie developed her interest in gaming and during her gaming, she won a number of championships as well.

Marie was trained and won the 2008 Golden Glove Amateur championship as well. Even after taking time off for her sister and returning back, she competed in the Combat-Do in Cicero, Illinois when she was 21 years old. She also took part in Fighting Hall of Famer Bob Schirmer. Currently, she is hosting the Extra Round Podcast on UFC Fight pass. Though Marie is from America, she has Mexican, Puerto Rican, Irish, and African American history. Though Marie initiated her professionalism in boxing in 2008, she raced professionally since 2012. She also participated in the Xtreme Fighting Championship, Xtreme Fight Club, and Splode Fight Series as well.

Before signing with the UFC, Marie set the record of 6-1. She made her UFC win against the well-known player Cynthia Calvillo back in 2017 on the 8th of April. She fought in the naked suffocation and lost it. She also took part in the UFC against Polyana Botello back in October 2017 on the 7th of that month. Though Marie played well in that match, she lost her battle by a unanimous decision. As Marie was lost back to back two times, she was fired from the UFC and she then joined the Invicta Fighting Championship shortly after getting fired.
