Who Was Issey Miyake?
He was a great man and thorough learner. He was always ready for new creations through his own curiosity. He even wished that no one would ever lament on his death. He wanted to be remembered as a happy memory not someone to be grieved for. Thus there would be no funeral ceremony for him. He was a man of culture although was fond of doing new creations. He even mixed culture, arts, designing and fashion all together to obtain something new in this world of fashion of his own. He had hold on to a career that last for more than 5 decades, i.e. 52 long years. He never called his designs as art or fashion, he referred them as clothing. He was fond of making new patterns as he used to say that clothing belongs to closet and closet belongs to humans. Generally he used polyester fabrics for his clothing’s.

He used to call some breaks and referred to them as designer’s fatigue. he even started this trend of turtle necks as busy scheduled people won’t prefer to waste their time on selecting ties. And later on, it became the end of its own due to many of its advantages over other normal shirts of business class men. He belonged to the ATOMIC BOMB SURVIVOR CITY, Hiroshima. He had his graduation from Tama Art University, Tokyo. He then migrated to Paris for learning about fashion and trends. He had worked for many fashion designers and studios. Later, he got some experience and started his firm in this industry and then with hard work achieved new levels of success by then. He was much disgraced by the fact that designers used to design cloth for rich communities or society only.

He wanted to let his talent reach each and every part of society. Thus he opted for such fabric that can go with each class of society and look classy as well. He established his fashion studio, called, Miyake Design Studio by the year 1970. Then with determination, he led to new peaks of success and cherished his talent more beautifully than ever after. He started appointing more the designers like him who had compassion towards clothing more than wanting to be rich and work for the rich. His clothes then became trends. He never wanted to be referred to as the survivor of an atomic bomb attack. And he proved his worth to the world as well. He’ll always be remembered and will relive in our hearts for eternity.
